Julian Lennon Picks

rachelmargaretRachel Margaret has been influenced by the sounds of Tracey Thorn, Morrissey and Elizabeth Fraser.  Her sound floats within the Indie Pop and Chill Out flavors with passionate vocals, dreamy synths and hyper-hooky guitars.

Her debut EP released in July 2007 is "Buena Vista Park" which has gained global attention.  The single 'Prisoner' won the Sirius Fan Choice Award out of 6000 songs and held the top six spot in the popular vote.

She is currently working on her follow-up album, "Temporary Sanity" due to hit in January 2009 and we will be ready to share that with you as soon as Rachel shares it with us.

karmacoda2Karmacoda are back to share with us a special world premiere sneak peek of the new "Karmacoda Live EP".  This weekly pick is "Front of my Room" and it features the same comfortable and warm tones as the original release, but this time B, Heather, Rafael and Brian take us on stage with them.

thom_yorkeYes it is true "The Eraser" debuted back in 2006 by Thom Yorke, as his debut solo album.  He later said it wasn't a solo album because Radiohead was not breaking up.  So it doesn't mean you can't go back to something that was ahead of it's time.  Revisiting this release the music industry has still not caught up to Thom.

'The Eraser' was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize (2007) and for a Grammy - Best Alternative Music Album.  Critically the reception for this album was favorable, and most of those writers are still trying to play catch up or most likely dogging something else, because when you don't understand something it is natural to turn your nose up rather than admit you don't get it.

franklinThis week we share with you Franklin who takes us "Into The Dark" the new single off the new release "Lost House" on Wool Recordings.  A great soft and minimalist piece with relaxing and surreal vocals.

fragilestateFragile State - Voices From The Dustbowl was released on Bar De Lune way back in March of 2004, but in October of 2007 they released a remix and classics compilation that featured several tracks off the album.
