Monta At Odds is a Kansas City combo led by the brothers Dedric and Delaney Moore. The two have played music together all their lives and have been exploring the Monta At Odds sound since the band’s debut in the year 2000. Dedric's pulsing, melodic bass and Delaney's artfully unhinged synthesizers frame the band's central character, which is fleshed out by a talented cast of musicians and collaborators. For Argentum Dreams, Monta At Odds is joined by area native Taryn Blake Miller, AKA Domino Record Co. artist Your Friend, who contributed lead vocal and guitar on the majority of the album’s songs. The result is a heady sonic pool that has been inscrutably referred to as ‘Ummagumma meets Arthur Russell’s mutant disco at Vangelis’s house.’
Argentum Dreams pushes Monta At Odds’ alternate reality into streamlined consciousness. The music consists of minimal rhythms set to maximum noise, slo-mo psychedelic funk, endless dub echo, and extended-cut warped disco. Live musicians manipulating time and space via knob turning, cymbal cracking, and pedal pushing as they interlock into hypnotic moments of heavenly bliss that seem to hold forever, captivating the mind. Tales of love, heartbreak, wandering, invention, guilt, and the ravages of time and miscalculation weave the songs on Argentum Dreams together. Nine songs interconnected like a cyberpunk computer network in a secret basement. Nine songs lead to a vision of a dusty future full of lo-fi synths warming their circuits for possibly the last time. Nine songs of haunted vocals pushing through filters to gently hover above your head in a ghostly harmonic presence.

This show is the Burning Man 2018 iRobot set by Mason Rothert at the Sacred Chill night Wednesday August 29th from 9pm - 11pm at the Opulent Chill tent at 10 & Esplanade on the playa.
It represents some new downbeat material while paying respects to some of the masters who have influenced me over the last few decades in the world of chillout. All songs were picked because they had a playa desert vibe... enjoy the 2-hour journey.

Geliks floats across Europe, mysterious and elusive, landing in the Cold Busted inbox with a captivating album titled Indeed. There is no telling who Geliks is or what Geliks wants, but with Indeed the unidentified artist covertly drops 11 captivating tracks that give lovers of tough beats just what they need. Indeed!
The set opens with “2376 Broadway,” imagining a dramatic moment soundtracked by sweeping strings, soulful vocals, and beats for days. It’s catchy as hell, too. There’s also the hypnotic “Paper Plane,” combining lonesome piano, jazzy stand-up bass, and strange musique concrète shuffles. “Ball Flip” is another highlight, boldly mixing hip hop flavors with clanging bell melodies and some terrific rock guitar. These are just of a few of the tracks found on Indeed, and Geliks maintains the extraordinarily heady vibe to the end. Give it a spin!

Jakub Šenšel aka Minor Rain started producing in 2009 From this year, actively involved in the production, along with his friend as soundNbeats. They have issued many labels like Breakfast Audio, Fokuz, Celsius, and more... In 2011 he created his own project called Minor Rain where he focuses on deeper styles and experimental electronic music. Below Zero has always been a big fan of Loodma Recordings
The latest EP due out May 28th, 2018 is "Purple Waves" and it is another journey into eclectic downbeat arrangements.

Jakub Šenšel is from Martin, Slovakia and began his project, Minor Rain in 2010. Hearing the old familiar styles and deep rhythms suddenly all makes sense when you realize he is also a member of the drum-n-bass band, 'SoundnBeats' which started producing in 2009. They have released on labels such as Sinous, Fokuz, SMPTM, Celsius, IM:LTD and Break-Fast Audio.
In a time where music has gotten more aggressive in breaks, house, and drum-n-bass, it is extremely refreshing, much like a Minor Rain to have the atmospheric and psychedelic drops of sound hit and chill down your spine.
