It is over a year since South LondonÃs production team JetTricks debut album 'Remote Control' was released to great critical acclaim and Paul Elliott and Jamie Lawrence have been busy in the studio diligently recording their follow up 'All One Word'.
Not to be content with their signature infectious grooves and hooks, they collaborated with a host of singers and musicians including Detroit's soul man Marcus Malone, UK songstress Andrea Britton, the ballistic Hammond of Stephen 'Lord' Large and 'Noisettes' guitar wizard Dan Smith.
With JetTricks, diversity is the order of the day and their creative spontaneity results in a journey through soul classics of the future to heavy dance floor fillers, uplifting new soul/pop to zen hip hop and laid back acoustic atmospheres. Their love of all music is evident and remains the core of their belief that different genres can lay side by side on the same record, and boundaries are just there to be crossed.
When writing, recording and producing 'All One Word', JetTricks were not afraid to evolve and branch out in these different directions, crafting with their collaborators a song based, bold, more commercial record that fully retains their musical integrity, whilst signalling a creative leap forward that could merely hint at their future possibilities.

Belgian producer Poldoore (born Tom Schillebeeckx) has revealed The Day After, handily providing a sequel to his well-received previous album on Cold Busted, The Day Off. Within its eleven distinctive tracks Poldoore has further developed his vibe-rich sound, creating deft blends of funk, soul, lounge, and reggae topped with punchy drum breaks.
The Day After is filled with highlights and shows Poldoore’s keen ability at crafting floor-effective instrumental head-nodders as well as delicate melodic arrangements featuring talented guest vocalists. “No Face” and “A Higher Intelligence” (featuring Kabanjak of Ancient Astronauts) are examples of Poldoore’s fine-tuned beatology, mixing hip hop samples and tough DJ-ready rhythms over impressively produced musical elements. The result is much headier than the usual ‘instrumental hip hop’ fare, with cuts equally at home in the clubs as in the earphones. But it’s with the vocal tracks that The Day After really shines. The lovely and soulful “Midnight In Saigon” presents vocalist Astrid who entices the listener with her intoxicating melodies, while London-based rapper Barney Artist adds compelling verses to Poldoore’s proper beats on “Broke For A Minute”. A pleasant surprise also comes in the form of “The Road”, a skankin’ reggae prime-mover featuring Thievery Corporation collaborator Sleepy Wonder, as well as sax and flute from Garrett Kobsef who recently recorded with Grammy winners Morgan Heritage. These ambitious moments heighten the resonance of Poldoore’s The Day After, placing it firmly in the realm of something special.

Anna 
Ternheim was born 31 May 1978 in Stockholm, Sweden. When she was 10 years old she began playing the guitar, writing songs and performing. During a year abroad in Atlanta, Georgia, Anna created her first band "Sova", playing at smaller festivals and local clubs. Back in Stockholm she continued her song writing and later in Lausanne, Switzerland where she was performing while studying French.[1]

She released her debut album Somebody Outside in 2004.[2] The Swedish Grammy jury awarded her the Best Newcomer of the Year award, and she was nominated for Best Female Artist, Best Lyricist and Best Songwriter in 2005. She also won the P3 Gold award for Best Newcomer 2004.
For her second album, Separation Road released on 27 September 2006, she was awarded Best Female Artist and Best Lyricist by the Swedish Grammy jury. Again she was nominated for Best Songwriter and Best Album. She received the award for Best Female Artist at the Swedish National Radio's P3 Gold Awards the same year. Her debut US album, Halfway to Fivepoints, was released on 22 April 2008.

Emapea’s cuts are meant for the listener to get lost in – but they’re not only for chilling, or when deep in thought, but also for getting in that crucial head-nod zone, like when the DJ drops the dopest beat. Expertly crafted and sequenced, the album presents a boom-bap journey that’s dreamy and spacey while remaining tough and jazzy. “Check It Out” exemplifies the mood with its smooth drums, chiming keys, subtle sax riffs, and hip hop shout-outs. The vibe expands on “Motion”, adding an exotic, worldly flavor to the seductively
loping rhythm. And “Classy” features a smokey saloon piano melody that cruises smugly out of jeep-beat speakers. This track was recently featured on a limited postcard record, mailed surreptitiously to lucky Emapea supporters.
